These plaster casts (nos. 42-50) are placed next to one another, as in a toyshop that attempts to attract young customers. As in a shop, they seduce us, offering a range of possibilities for space colonies. In the discourse about the possibility of life outside planet Earth, the engagement with the next form of life sparks the imagination of every science-fiction fan. What will such an extraterrestrial colony look like?

The artist has created objects whose dimensions convey the impression of an affordable toy. He juggles with alluring phosphorescent colours that appeal to our consumerist tendencies. Some of the casts function as islands or life capsules in the video Caretakers, screened in the exhibition (work no.2), which introduces the possibility of a fictional community in space.
